I guess Foxs News is paying to keep things private which is making other Networks upset. They are going out there way to keep things exclusive on FoxNews. The conservatives want to take charge of office next election and are starting early way before the primaries. This type of media strategy is crazy. Its all about making money and keeping the political groups together. Territory, money, respect, power this is all it is. Why are they doing this ??
Well I know why but geesh elections is somewhat FAR away. while reading this article I was thinking this trend is new but come to read it is not. This happened in 1990" with CNN. I did learn about objective journalism through this article. They ask hard questions. Politics somewhat makes me sick and how its a dirty game. I wonder if the candidates for the republican party will leak out sooner than they want. We will see. What does toe in the water mean?
does that mean you say a little but not a lot, like how palin answered her question to see if she would run for presidency this upcoming election she left the people thinking I guess that is what it means. It makes it harder for the journalists to get both sides. How can you report? Reports are put in limbo by the republican party. FOX is not messing around!

CAN THE MEDIA REGAIN THE PUBLIC TRUST WEEK 5 UNIT 3 ISSUE 8 PG 150
CAN THE MEDIA REGAIN THE PUBLIC TRUST?
Im a little late on posting because I finally figured its not eblogger.com it is www.blogger.com
WHOOPSIE!
Anyways back to the lecture at hand.
After reading the article I do believe that the media can PARTIALLY regain the public trust but not fully, There is just too much junk and sources that influence how we think individually. The news plays a big role here in America but since we leave in a democracy the role of journalist is important. However, we will never get the complete truth which means we cannot trust the media completely. The technology today does give us options but we need to make educated decisions when choosing what we believe is the truth. We all know that media is controlled by the Government and Companies with money.
Michael Schudson argues that we need news and it keeps democracy in line, the media goes against the grain, wether it is right or wrong. On the other end Hockenbuerry adds that media says what they need to say to make you "feel good" wether it is good or bad just to get audience. On Page 155 they give an example of how Ralph Nader made it clear and let people know that he did not get coverage from the press. Schudson compared how Nader could have possible been treated better in Germany with more attention. I really do not like reading this book, both guys talk about to different things which do not bring it back to the question as a whole. I did like how and agreed that outsider news has a big influence on the news. People can now blog about articles and stories they read on the internet. Nonetheless we need to hear news it keeps everyone informed. As americans we need to just make smart decisions on what believe or do not believe.

ITS ABOUT TIME WE GET RID OF SCHWARTZWAHTEVER HIS NAME IS!!!!!!!
So to the left is Jerry Brown a Democrat running for California Governor. He was Oakland's Mayor some time ago. I had no clue he was Governor before. If he wins this year this will be his 3rd term.
His website www.jerrybrown.org goes over watch he wants to focus on if he wins. Here are a few things he talks about: Civil Rights, CA budget, Jobs, Enviornemnt and education. He wants to get people of CA to work again, that it would help our state all around. If he get gets position again after 27 years he is comitted to change for this state not like swartzenLOSER! ugh! Right now Brown is the State Attorney General too. I do not know what that is, I will look it up.
On the other side we have a woman, Meg Whitman a Republican, who was once the owner of Ebay. She talks about the same thing on her website megwhitman.com. Changing the job crisis, investing more in education, etc etc. Hers and Brown sound the same. Her bio is cheesy and corny! I did find her "Latinos for Whitman" interesting she is trying to focusing on helping edcuation in so cal for students and teachers.
I dont know who at this point I would choose. It all sounds the same to me. I wonder how would I go about picking the right canidate? Someone with more experience that is a democrat or a woman that was once a CEO of a big company that has a LOT of mulah!!?
Seems like Brown has more experience but I do not want to underestimate a woman that has built up Ebay.....

UNIT 3 ISSUE10 Does Fake news mislead public
I believe that fake media misleads the public. Its invading the public in every way you can think of. It's so easy to mute and skip through commercials and different media but advertisers are doing everything possible to make sure we get their message. This goes back to the companies and gov't that pay to have certain things on the news. For example a local hospital paying a local newstation to show that they have a cure for some new type of cancer or somethign along the lines of that. I think fake news is bigger than it has ever been. The government controls what is put out which can be at time very misleading. After watching Meghan Mcain on the daily show and on fox news you see how even Meghan was promoting her book on 2 different shows they both had a script of questions. The daily show she was a little more free to speak but not on fox news. I think its wrong because I like to see informative truth. There are different ways that the news misleads us, it could be through humor or being soft spoken and welcoming like rachael maddow, or straight forward and blunt like Robert maddow.
I hate it both to be honest.

Does fake news mislead public UNIT 3 ISSUE 9 PAGE173
I believe that it truly does. I could be a lot a could be a little depending I believe on where we live how we are raised and what we are exposed to! How information is fed to the viewers is why a lot of people believe the media. Some are through humourous manners and others are in a more welcoming soft manner like Rachael Maddow. The Daily show is humorous so people tend to follow because you are being informed as you laugh. And who does not like to laugh. Since the 1970's news has come into many different forms, newpaper, magaizines, television and now internet. The reading goes into detail of why the daily show is so solid and everyone watches becuase its emphasis on humor rather than substance. Which makes sense but could be very misleading for people that are easily persueded by news. Sampling, coding, reliability, and results are the biggest aspects to get people to listen to you message through the news. How the coding is brought out, which news will be put out first at the top of the hour, it will not be the stock market, it will be something that is relevant and timely to an entire community or city or class. How reliable is the news matter but how its put out is where it counts. For young people like me we as awhole identify more to night television programs that make it welcoming and fun especially when we talk about politics. We learn through enterntainment news not just straight news!

MSNBC & FOX TV SHOWS
MSNBC RACHAL MADDOW-
I first watched the Rachel Maddow show, I do not know much about this channels but she is liberal from what is seems like. She is going over how John Boehner almost started to cry about the vote for the bailout of wall street. Boehner a republican is the soft target lately. After he spoke President Obama spoke in Ohio yesterday and bashed him and used him as the target. When Obama was talking about his economic plan he made it clear that all the americans are in the boat together. Im still not sure whats going on with the Wall street bailout but I think its about helping the richer get rich, save their butts but not help out the middle class. Maddow went over with a professor from princeton university how the democates are getting crazy ie president and vice president. I have never watched so much politic talk in my life. This is very interesting however I do not know where I stand.

FOXNEWS CRASH COURSE- GLENN BECK
http://video.foxnews.com/v/4331341/becks-crash-course-day-ii
I watched this short crash course clip of the rundown of America's future through the mind of Glenn Beck. Most definatley a conservative. He went over that Radicals are surrounding the presidency like Black Panthers and Marxist. Im not sure where he was going with all of this but I believe that he is against what he thinks President Obama is doing and associating with. How true is all this, I am not sure. Now I know why I do not like politics what so ever, who is really telling the truth. Are the rich trying to get richer and are the poor really getting poorer or are they using the system to try and contribute more.
This tax stuff I do not understand either along with the wall street bailout. I do like the style of Glenn Beck's style of speaking it's as if we are conversating, a little high strung but I like it.

Unit 1 Issue 1 Page 2
This chapter goes over the how Mass Media shapes our society or even if it does. It goes back and fourth with the two. Media shapes how we think, what we do, our opinions in our everyday life.
In the chapter Schiller provides that mass media institutions control our world. On the contrary James Carey that communication is symbolic to our lives and culture.
