LETTER TO BBC : ~ )

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to commend you for your awesome international coverage at British Broadcasting Corporation.  I am a student at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California and lately I have been following your International World News. As I follow I see that BBC covers live coverage, reports and analysis of all different parts of the world. I think it is great how your online website breaks down the World News by continent which makes it very easy to follow. Comparing how BBC’s website is setup it is very different than the online news coverage in the United States. Your website give you the opportunity to change the language with the click of a button.  Not only does the website give a breakdown of the continents it also gives you a list of countries in the continent you can get information on. You do not see much of that in depth coverage in the United States.  When I click on Latin America for example I get a list of countries in the western hemisphere and when I clicked on Costa Rica, my motherland I get the country profile.  Overall, readers get a breakdown on the world which I think is great and I am writing BBC on the great job the Corporation is doing with keeping anyone who has internet access up to date.  From a college student’s perspective I feel that it is one of the most important cultural organizations because it informs you everywhere and it does it well.  After researching BBC I come to find that it has a broad spread of funding for broadcasting in Britain; which gives everyone a more extensive range of coverage via television and online.  Because of its broad spread, it gives the reader importance and quality, which insure truth and events.  I believe that BBC does great when it comes to creative- quality international coverage keeping me committed to looking to BBC for international news.  I believe that your Corporation is adapting well to the change in journalism; your audience including myself relate to your media content.  Before I say my last thank you, I would like to honor the BBC Kid’s page that covers all that would interest and inform preteens today. It is nice and helpful to go to a website and find news anywhere I want that is live, current and accurate. It is appreciated as far as Belmont, California.

Best Wishes to BBC,

Betsy Cordoba
